PFAS testing, NABL-accredited lab

Find the forever chemicals before a regulator does

Trace-level PFAS detection in food, beverages, water and packaging by LC-MS/MS, so your products meet US EPA, EU and FSSAI limits. Run from a 14,000 sq. ft. NABL-accredited laboratory in Jaipur that receives samples from across India.

Fill the form and the testing team replies with scope, price and turnaround within one working day.

14,000 sq. ft. Single facility covering food, water, environment, pharma, AYUSH and cosmetics
LC-MS/MS Plus GC-MS/MS, ICP-MS and RT-PCR on the same floor
NABL accredited ISO/IEC 17025 testing, plus APEDA approval for agri and organic exports
40+ years Technical legacy through IRCLASS

Why buyers are asking

PFAS limits are now written into contracts, not just regulations

Four separate pressures land on the same consignment. A rejected shipment costs more than a test.

European Union

Maximum levels set for PFOS, PFOA, PFNA and PFHxS in eggs, fish, meat and crustaceans.

United States

Drinking water limits tightened for the same four compounds, with state rules going further.

Your buyer

Importing retailers now ask for a PFAS report on every consignment, whatever the commodity.

Domestic market

No blanket PFAS monitoring in India yet, but brand standardisations and new food safety rules are already driving requests for PFAS-free validation.

Where PFAS enter a supply chain
Drinking water Food and beverages Soil and sediments Food packaging Consumer products Industrial effluents

Matrices

What we accept for PFAS analysis

Send the product as it ships. We handle extraction and clean-up for each matrix separately.

Food and agri

Export consignments

Rice, spices, tea, marine products, meat, eggs, dairy, honey, processed foods and organic produce covered under our APEDA approval.

Water

Drinking, ground and effluent

Packaged drinking water, borewell and municipal supply, process water, treated effluent and receiving water bodies.

Packaging

Food contact materials

Paper and moulded fibre tableware, grease-resistant liners, coated board, films and laminates. Total fluorine screening available as a first pass.

Cosmetics

Personal care formulations

Creams, colour cosmetics, hair care and AYUSH-classified preparations where fluorinated ingredients or carryover are suspected.

Consumer goods

Textiles and coated articles

Water-repellent finishes on apparel and home textiles, leather goods, cookware coatings and technical fabrics.

Environment

Soil, sludge and landfill

Site assessment samples, sewage sludge, compost and leachate for industrial clients and public sector bodies.

Method

How the analysis runs

Instrumentation and controls

Solid phase extraction and clean-up, then separation and detection on LC-MS/MS in multiple reaction monitoring mode. Quantification uses isotope-labelled internal standards. Every batch carries a procedural blank, a spiked recovery and a calibration check, so a low result is a real one and not a clean-up artefact.

Technique LC-MS/MS, MRM
Sensitivity ppt, ng/L levels
Selectivity Minimal matrix interference
Scope Targeted and non-targeted
Typical reporting limit Matrix dependent, ng/kg to ng/L
Standard turnaround 7 to 10 working days
Priority turnaround On request, subject to slot

Analytes on the standard panel

Short chain and long chain perfluoroalkyl substances, across food, water, soil, sediment and biota matrices. The four EU-regulated compounds sit at the core, and we extend the panel on request for buyers who specify longer lists, including replacement chemistries.

PFOA PFOS PFNA PFHxS PFBA PFBS PFHxA PFHpA PFDA PFUnDA PFDoDA HFPO-DA (GenX) ADONA 6:2 FTS 8:2 FTS Sum of four, as reported by EU

Ask us for the full scope of the accreditation certificate covering your matrix before you book.

Not sure which analytes your buyer wants?

Send us the specification. We will tell you what to test and what it costs, at no charge.

Inside the lab

Trace work needs a clean room and a careful chemist

Instrumentation floor at the ISSPL laboratory

A 14,000 sq. ft. floor with LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, ICP-MS and RT-PCR under one roof.

Analyst reviewing chromatography data

Chromatography data reviewed against the calibration check before a result is released.

Sample preparation in a fume hood

Extraction and clean-up carried out with PFAS-free consumables to protect the blank.

Chemists working in a controlled area of the laboratory

Controlled areas separated by matrix so environmental samples never sit next to food.

Recognitions

One lab, a wide regulatory bench

Few single laboratories in India hold this combination. It means one sample, one report, and fewer labs to coordinate when a consignment needs several clearances.

NABL ISO/IEC 17025 accredited testing
APEDA Export and organic food testing
FSSAI Notified food laboratory
Tea Board Tea testing approval
Spice Board Spice export testing
State FDA Drug and cosmetic testing
CPCB Environmental laboratory recognition
AGMARK Agricultural produce grading
BIS Standards testing

How it works

From enquiry to report

1

Tell us the market

Send the product, the destination country and the specification your buyer quoted. We confirm the analyte list and the reporting limit you need.

2

Send the sample

Courier it to Jaipur or ask for pickup. We share sampling instructions and container guidance so the sample does not pick up contamination on the way.

3

Analysis

Extraction, clean-up and LC-MS/MS run with blanks and spiked recoveries. A second chemist reviews the data before release.

4

Report

A NABL-format report with results, limits of quantification and the method reference. Interpretation against your buyer's limit on request.

Request a quote

Tell us what you ship and where it goes

We reply with scope, price and turnaround, usually within one working day. If PFAS is not the right test for your problem, we will say so.
